Chocolate Protein Donuts with Sprinkles

  • 2 scoops of Giant Whey in Chocolate Ice Cream
  • 3 tbsp. of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp. of vanilla extract
  • 2 whole egg
  • 1/2 cup egg whites
  • 1 tbsp. of baking powder
  • 1 tbsp. of coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup of dark chocolate chips
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1/2 tbsp. of xanthan gum
  • 1 cup of canned pumpkin puree
  • *Optional glaze: Peanut butter, chocolate syrup, or nut butter of choice
  • *Optional toppings: sprinkles or topping of choice (coconut flakes, chocolate chips, walnuts, etc.)


  1. Preheat the oven to 350° F
  2. In a medium sized bowl, whisk together coconut oil, canned pumpkin puree, egg, and egg white
  3. In a separate bow, whisk together the Giant Sports Whey protein powder, unsweetened cocoa powder, xanthan gum, and baking powder
  4. Combine all the ingredients into one large bowl and throughly mix
  5. Spray 2 non-stock 6-count donut pans with non-stick spray
  6. Pour about 2/3 of batter into the donut pans (allow room for the donuts to rise)
  7. Bake for about 13-15 minutes
  8. Allow the donuts to cool off
  9. Carefully remove the donuts from the pan
  10. *Optional toppings: heat up the peanut butter, chocolate syrup, or nut butter of choice in the microwave for about 30 seconds, stir, then drizzle on top of the donuts and add any additional toppings
